Baharat, Ras El Hanut, and Za'Atar Spices.
Baharat: Baharat means “spice” in Arabic and is an all-purpose Middle Eastern blend. It adds flavor to rice or curries and can be used, with a little olive oil, to make a delicious rub for meat, chicken or fish.
Contents: Paprika, black pepper, cumin, cinnamon, cloves and other herbs and spices.
Za’atar: Ground sumac and lemon peel give this Middle Eastern staple its distinctive earthy, rustic flavor. Sprinkle on pita bread or hummus, or add it to olive oil for a distinctive bread dip.
Contents: Sumac, sesame seeds, salt, canola oil and other herbs and spices.
Ras El Hanout: This Moroccan favorite is a complex blend of savory, spicy and sweet flavors. Use it to add exotic flavor to couscous, vegetables and meat casseroles, or sprinkle a little in your favorite coffee drink.
Contents: Black pepper, cumin, garlic, coriander, paprika, cardamom, turmeric, cayenne, ginger and other herbs and spices.
